That’s a wrap for chapter 4! This chapter has been a delight to draw for so many reasons–I hope you’ve all enjoyed it as much as I have :) . Now that the first arc is fully complete, I will be taking a longer hiatus than usual. I will be returning from hiatus (ideally–I will keep you all updated) on February 3rd, 2026. This is to take a break from making the comic, work on re-scripting the next arc, get fully adjusted to grad school, and accomplish some fun things:

• I will be updating the cast page with new artwork and new important characters, namely the Courier and the Director.
• Messing around with the pages on the Tumblr mirror since many have to be updated with the new font.
• A Q&A! I’ll talk more about this in a minute.
• Guest art! I’ll talk more about this in a minute too!

With regard to the Q&A: this will be an opportunity to ask the characters questions, whether it’s their thoughts on things going on in canon or questions about themselves. I will draw responses to each question I get! However, I may not answer questions that would spoil too much of the future plot :) . So if I don’t answer your question, don’t worry! It’s not you, it’s me. If doing character Q&As isn’t up your alley, you can also ask me questions! The deadline for asking questions is October 13th.

With regard to guest art: well, it’s guest art! Here are the ground rules:

• Deadline for submissions: November 17th, 2025 (if you’re a couple days late that’s fine though!)
• Given the rating I’ve set for the comic on some sites, art cannot include hardcore gore or sexual themes.
• Anyone can send in artwork! You don’t have to be a webcomic creator.
• Any dimensions are acceptable.
• I would prefer you wait to post your piece until after it’s been posted to the webcomic if possible! No sweat if you wind up posting it before, though :) .
• You retain the rights to your art and I will not use it unless permission is granted in the future. If you’re interested in submitting guest art, you can do so using this form!

LASTLY: I would like to reiterate how cool Spiderforest is and how you should absolutely check out the comics there! There’s a whole little welcome post for comics that are new to the collective on the website. Your homework while I’m on hiatus is to check out a few of them :)!!

If you have questions about anything I’ve mentioned here, please feel free to ask. I think that’s everything I wanted to cover, though! So, to reiterate, I will be coming back on February 3rd, 2026, unless something crazy happens. I’m really excited to share this next bit of WTHI with all of you–I’ve got some fun stuff planned!
