LANI: Regardless of whether the stories are true, it's at least a nice view.
She pauses to side-eye the boys.
LANI: But if you were really from here, you'd know that story already.
Ísja and Num's eyes go wide, startled. Num is able to recover from his shock quickly.
NUM: What're you talking about? We're just from a different part of the city.
LANI: I'm not necessarily talking about somewhere inside Noarata. I don't know how you did it, but you both somehow managed to get here from God knows where.
Num scowls.
NUM: ...We came from just outside the city.
LANI: That's not what you said a few seconds ago.
We see a closer view of the quagmire. It's made of blues and yellows.
LANI: How'd you get through the massive quagmire around Noarata? Last I checked, it's completely impassable.
