NUM: It's fine... Anyway, Lani, it's a long story.
Ísja opens his hands up and stares at them for a moment. He closes them when Num speaks again.
NUM: We should get going.
Num pulls his shirt and cape back on.
NUM: The Dreamscape isn't exactly known to be a pleasant place.
Lani and Ísja stand up.
LANI: The Dreamscape?
NUM: Mm. It's the bridge between planes.
Ísja's brow is still furrowed.
ÍSJA: That's what the Edgeseekers say, anyway. People don't know a ton about this place.
NUM: Aye, 'cuz everyone who comes in here dies.
Lani's expression turns utterly blank.
LANI: They what.
NUM: They die. Badly.
